The cabinet is equipped with integrated circuit breakers designed to manage both AC and DC power sources.
Integrated circuit breakers ensure that both AC and DC circuits are protected from overloads, short circuits, and faults, minimizing the risk of electrical fires and damage to equipment.
Pre-wired terminal blocks reduce installation time and eliminate potential wiring errors, enhancing overall reliability and efficiency of the system.
These terminal blocks simplify testing and maintenance by allowing for quick and safe disconnection of sensors without interrupting the entire system. This design enables technicians to easily perform diagnostics, calibrations, and troubleshooting, ensuring minimal downtime.
In environments with fluctuating or low temperatures, condensation can form inside the cabinet, leading to moisture accumulation and potential damage to electrical components.
The integrated heater maintains a consistent internal temperature, protecting sensitive electronics from humidity and temperature-related stress, ensuring reliable operation, and reducing the risk of corrosion and electrical faults.
Optimizer3 Cabinets can be orderd with these optional factory-installed components.
The INCON® Optimizer3 Trip Signature Monitor provides high-fidelity trip coil signature analysis for an unprecedented level of insight into circuit breaker performance. Proprietary TripTracer™ technology captures the waveform signature of each trip and close operation and compares it to a baseline to detect potential circuit breaker deficiencies and enable proactive maintenance actions.
Most breakers have continuously-running cabinet heaters to prevent moisture condensation by keeping the control cabinet warmer than the outside air. These heaters typically use AC power and can be monitored using an AC Current Transducer.
Once the heater’s nominal current is determined, the Optimizer3 can be programmed to alarm if a heater fails, resulting in a current drop.
Tank heaters are thermostatically controlled, so they do not run continuously. The Power Status Monitor is wired into the heater supply circuit and enables the current draw of the heaters to be monitored only when they are turned on.
If one or more of the heater elements fails, the current draw will be too low and the Optimizer3 will trigger a heater alarm.
The Trip Coil Isolator is a cost effective means to achieve compliance with regulations requiring redundant trip circuits on all circuit breakers 115 KV and above as well as physical isolation of critical circuits in medium and high voltage environments.
With the Trip Coil Isolator, the Optimizer3 can monitor trip circuits 1 & 2 as if it was hard-wired to them both, yet maintain the isolation required by regulations.
The INCON® Optimizer3 Circuit Breaker Monitor is an online continuous performance monitor for high voltage circuit breakers, designed to facilitate condition-based maintenance with real-time performance and health data.
With early detection of circuit breaker deficiencies, the Optimizer3 enables utilities to proactively address issues before they escalate, saving both time and resources while helping to boost reliability.
